This is Melinda Lee.
Melinda was accepted into a graduate program in Social Work, to begin in a few weeks. There isn’t a better candidate. As a queer person of color, Melinda knows what the struggle is intimately. As her friend, it is easy for me to say that she is one of the kindest, realest people I’ve ever had the luck to meet. (She’s also a phenomenal artist – more on this later.)
Mel already has an undergrad, but before she could start her MSW program, she had to take two prerequisites at the local community college this past summer. She did (and aced both of them – four for you Melinda, you go!) but now she owes that school some $$$ and they won’t release her transcript til she pays up. She didn’t qualify for loans, because she already completed her undergrad.
Luckily, those courses weren’t too expensive.. But Melinda works at a treatment center, and doesn’t make the big bucks yet (HA). So she started a indiegogo campaign to help pay for her summer classes and related expenses. In return for your sweet sweet community dollars, she’ll send you some sweet sweet homemade art. She is already half way to her goal, and just needs a little more help.

Please give anything extra you have to this hummmazing bird of a person. As soon as I have dollars they are going right here.
